Motorcycle storage in Bratislava: a unit for the winter | TOP SKLAD
Winter motorcycle storage in Bratislava: an indoor unit at room temperature with a 0.80 m door and 24/7 access. One winter from 498€ as of 30 September 2026.
ReadYou have moved to Slovakia, you live in a short let or a hotel while you look for a flat, and the suitcases take up half the room. Or you are leaving Bratislava for a semester, a work contract abroad or a long trip, the flat goes back to the landlord, and you want your things waiting when you return; or there is a gap between the end of one lease and the start of the next. For all three we offer long-term luggage storage in Bratislava, from 1 month: a lockable unit that you rent online and fill yourself. It is not a luggage locker for a few hours: there is no left-luggage counter, no staff on site and no storage by the hour or the day.
What follows, in order: which box takes how many suitcases and what it costs as of 2 October 2026, when to step up to a walk-in unit, which term to choose, how to rent from abroad or in your first week here, and what to settle before you leave the country.
The smallest thing we rent is a closed box in our indoor storage at Holíčska 7 in Petržalka, tram 3 to Pajštúnska and 230 m on foot. The boxes stand at ground level on the terrace. A car or a taxi stops in the outside car park, and the building door opens with a personal code from your account. The building is kept at a comfortable temperature in summer and in winter, so what is in the suitcases goes through neither frost in January nor heat in July.
Unlike our walk-in units, these boxes are closed, with a top of their own, and their door is low, 0.80 × 1.00 m, so you crouch to load them. Monthly prices as of 2 October 2026, for a term of 1 / 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months; prices move with occupancy, and the exact sum is shown before you confirm the order:
For suitcases, H50A and H50C give the most for the money: the full 1.20 m of height for 37€ for a single month, or 29€ a month when you pay for a year. Per cubic metre a small box is the dearest space we rent; what speaks for it is the lowest monthly bill. Holíčska has no discount at the moment, so these are the regular prices.
The unit page gives dimensions, not a number of suitcases, so what follows is our estimate from them. A large check-in suitcase is roughly 75 × 50 × 30 cm. On the 0.93 × 1.06 m floor of H50A or H50C, four of them stand upright side by side with room to spare, and five or six if they are slim and packed tight. Bags or a backpack go on top: in a box 1.20 m high, about 45 cm is left above upright large suitcases.
In the boxes 1.01 m high, a large suitcase still stands upright with about 25 cm above it, or the suitcases lie flat in layers. Soft bags fill the corners that hard cases leave free.
Suitcases differ, so measure yours before you book and compare the numbers with the dimensions on the unit page. Mind the door as well: at 0.80 × 1.00 m it takes a large suitcase standing up, but you load the box crouching, one case at a time.
If the suitcases hold clothes and shoes for a season or longer, wash and dry everything before you pack it, because damp fabric shut in a case for months is how mould starts. Our guide on how to store seasonal clothes and shoes goes through the rest. Take any food out of the suitcases too: nothing perishable may go into a unit, and nothing flammable, alive or illegal either.
If you are moving abroad and the storage for your belongings has to take moving boxes, a bike or a few pieces of furniture besides the suitcases, a box is too small and too low. The next step is a walk-in unit: walls 2.60 m high and a door of 0.80 × 1.95 m, so you walk in and stack upwards instead of crouching.
The one we would look at first is T22 among the walk-in storage units at Tomášikova 50D in Nové Mesto: 1.20 m², 3.12 m³, 1.20 × 1.00 m inside, on the ground floor. The car drives onto the site, and the bus 50 stop is 400 m away. Until 31 December 2026 every free unit at Tomášikova carries a 20% discount for new rentals made on the site, the same percent on every term; the unit page shows it next to a small gift icon, with the regular price struck through.
As of 2 October 2026 that makes T22 44€ for one month, 40€ a month on six months (240€) and 35€ a month on twelve (420€), instead of the regular 55, 50 and 44€. On twelve months it costs 6€ a month more than H50A and holds about 2.6 times the volume. One condition applies: the discount counts for the term you pay at the order, and a later renewal is at the regular price. If you already know you will be away for a year, pay the year at once.
At Holíčska the walk-in step is H17 or H22, 1.82 and 1.85 m² with 2.60 m walls and no discount: 54€ for one month, 49€ a month on six months and 44€ on twelve.
We rent for 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. With "Custom period" ("Exact to the day") you pick the end date yourself, as long as it is at least 31 days after the start. The longer the term, the lower the monthly rate: on H50A, at the prices listed above, 37€ for a single month against 33€ a month on six months and 29€ on twelve.
If you do not know yet when you will have a flat, take one month and renew from your account until you do: to store suitcases for a month while you look is what the shortest term is for. A renewal means choosing a period and paying; the new period starts the day after the last paid day, and there is no second deposit. If you know the date because the semester or the contract has one, take six or twelve months, or the custom period to that day.
How one-month rentals and renewals work in practice is in our article on short-term storage rental for a month. The whole term ladder, with the arithmetic of a month against a year, is in our piece on what a storage unit costs in Bratislava.
The whole site, the checkout and the customer account work in English and Russian as well as in Slovak; the language switch is in the header. Renting takes about 10 minutes online, with no office visit: you choose the unit and the term, fill in your details and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The contract is concluded with that first payment, and every document is in your account at once.
One detail decides whether you can register at all: the phone number. Registration accepts only European numbers starting with +3 or +4, and the form gives +421, +420, +43, +48 and +380 as examples. A number from outside Europe cannot be registered, so if yours is one, book once you have a Slovak SIM, which you can buy on arrival. We do not rent anonymously, so the form also asks for your real name, an address and an e-mail.
How you get in depends on the site. At Tomášikova the gate opens when you call it from the number registered in your account; at Holíčska the building door opens with your personal code from the account. Both are open 24/7 and covered by cameras with recording. Nobody but you opens the unit itself: you lock it with your own padlock, and with every new rental we give you a sealed one as a gift.
If someone in Bratislava should be able to reach your things while you are away, Tomášikova makes that simple: add their number in your account, up to nine extra numbers per location, and each of them opens the gate with a call. At Holíčska the door opens only with your personal code, so extra numbers do not get anyone in there. Either way the padlock key is yours alone, so leave a spare with that friend if they are to open the unit.
What goes wrong while people are abroad is the end date. Our FAQ puts it plainly: a rental that runs out without being renewed is cleared within 3 days after the paid period ends. There is no fine, but the deposit is not refunded. So before you fly, do one of three things:
The deposit is one month's rent, paid with the first payment; with a discount it is the discounted month. It comes back to the same card within 5 working days after a proper return, at most 10 depending on the bank, so keep that card valid until the money is back.
A proper return means that by 17:00 on the last paid day the unit is empty, your padlock is off, three photos are uploaded in your account (two of the inside, one of the outside) and the return form is sent. Set the end date for a day when you will be in Bratislava to do it.
We run six self-service sites in Bratislava and one in Nitra, 527 units in all; on 2 October 2026, 71 were free, 19 of them at Holíčska and 25 at Tomášikova. For luggage and bag storage in Bratislava the two indoor sites are the ones that matter, Holíčska 7 in Petržalka and Tomášikova 50D in Nové Mesto: both are kept at a comfortable temperature in summer and winter, open 24/7 and covered by cameras with recording.
Insurance of your things up to 2 000€ is included in the rent. Higher cover costs 4.50€ a month up to 5 000€, 7.50€ up to 7 000€ and 12€ up to 10 000€. Support runs through the form in your account and info@top-sklad.com, answered within up to 5 working days.
What we do not do: there is no counter where you hand in luggage and no staff on site, and we do not pick up, deliver or carry suitcases. You bring them and put them in yourself, or you tick the paid moving assistance at the order and deal with our partner directly. We are not the cheapest storage in Slovakia either; what you pay for is a locked unit that you can rent from abroad in about 10 minutes and reach 24/7.
Yes, from 1 month. We rent lockable units at Holíčska 7 and Tomášikova 50D, and the smallest closed box, H50A, takes four large suitcases upright by our estimate. As of 2 October 2026 it costs 37€ for one month or 29€ a month on a twelve-month term; you bring the suitcases and lock the unit yourself.
As of 2 October 2026, 37€ for one month in H50A or H50C at Holíčska. The first payment also carries a deposit of one month's rent, which comes back within 5 working days after a proper return. Prices move with occupancy, and you see the exact sum before you confirm.
No. The shortest rental is one month: the terms are 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, and a custom end date must be at least 31 days after the start. There is no counter and no staff on site; you rent a unit and lock it yourself.
Yes, online in about 10 minutes, in English or Russian, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You need a European phone number starting with +3 or +4. A number from outside Europe cannot be registered, so in that case book after you buy a Slovak SIM on arrival.
If it is neither renewed nor returned, the unit is cleared within 3 days after the paid period ends; there is no fine, but the deposit is not refunded. Pay the whole term at the order, renew online from your account in time, or switch on automatic renewal by card.
At Tomášikova, yes: add their number in your account, up to nine extra numbers per location, and the gate opens when they call it. The unit is locked with your own padlock and only you have the key, so leave them a spare. At Holíčska the door opens with your personal code, so extra numbers do not get anyone in there.
