Storage prices in Bratislava read on 4 September 2026: an indoor unit of 0.99 m² from 29 € and a container of 3.6 m² from 49 € a month, plus deposit and insurance.
ReadYou have typed self storage in Bratislava into Google and got back logistics halls, garages and warehouse space, none of it what you meant. Behind it is usually a flat with no cellar, a gap between two leases, or a hallway of ski gear. In Slovak this is a samoobslužný sklad.
Below: what it is, how it differs from a cellar or a warehouse, what it costs today, how the paperwork works in English, and when not to rent.
You rent one lockable unit, put your own padlock on it and hold the only key. The site, areál in Slovak, is a fenced yard with recorded CCTV, open 24 hours a day all year, with no staff.
It is not logistics: no courier deliveries, nobody packs or carries anything. Types and sizes are on the self storage unit types and sizes page.
What may go in is set out in what you can keep in a storage unit: no food, nothing alive, flammable or illegal, and no vehicles.
The floor for the network is 25 € a month, a floor and not an average. The rest depends on the site, the type, the level, the size and occupancy, which shifts prices daily. The exact amount is on screen before you confirm.
Rental length moves it most. Monthly rates read on 4 September 2026, for terms of 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months:
So one month costs about a third more per month than twelve: book the term if the boxes stay until spring. The smallest indoor box is also the priciest per m², roughly 19 to 21 €/m² against 9 to 12 €/m² for a big container. For a few weeks, read short-term storage for one month.
On top of the rent comes a deposit, kaucia, of one month's rent, paid once and back on the same card within 5 working days of a proper handover. Insurance up to 2 000 € against theft, fire and vandalism is included; higher cover costs 4.50 € a month up to 5 000 €, 7.50 € up to 7 000 €, 12 € up to 10 000 €.
The site, the order form, your account and the agreement are in English, and so is support: the form in your account, info@top-sklad.com within up to 5 working days, phone or WhatsApp. One thing catches newcomers out: the number you register is the key that opens the gate, so give the one you will still be carrying.
