Storage Container Rental in Bratislava: Sizes and Prices | TOP SKLAD

A balcony stacked with winter tyres, a cellar you cannot walk through, a flat to be emptied before the landlord's inspection. If you are looking for storage container rental in Bratislava, you want to know what fits, what must never go in, and the price.

Below: what a container is, the dimensions, why the upper level is cheaper, today's prices, and when you do not need one.

Need drive-up access to your unit?

What a storage container is, and how it differs from an indoor unit

A converted shipping container: ventilated, solid floor, a door that takes your own padlock. Not heated, not air conditioned, so the temperature follows the weather. We rent them from 3.5 m² up to 15 m² and more; the largest in our offer is 28.8 m².

The other type is the indoor unit, a kobka in Slovak: a room in a building, comfortable all year, from 0.99 m², and only at Holíčska 7 in Petržalka and Tomášikova 50D in Nové Mesto. Containers stand at the other five sites. Both types are on our storage types and sizes page.

Dimensions: what really fits into 3.6 m², 7 m² and 12 m²

Every unit page shows length, width, height, volume and door opening. D53 in Dúbravka: 3.6 m² of floor, 2.40 × 1.50 m, 2.60 m high, 9.36 m³, door 0.80 × 2.00 m. Height reaches 3 m, so you stack.

The size filter has five steps:

  • up to 3 m²: one set of tyres, skis, a pram. Here an indoor small storage unit from 1 m² often beats a container.
  • 3 to 5 m²: a whole balcony or cellar, bicycles, dismantled furniture, a washing machine. D53 sits here.
  • 5 to 7 m²: replaces a big garage, a motorbike, a one-room flat, 100 boxes.
  • 7 to 12 m²: a two-room flat with the appliances; for a company, pallets or an archive.
  • over 12 m²: a three-room flat, building material, dozens of pallets.

Measure the largest item against the door, not only the floor. Between two sizes take the bigger: moving to another unit later is a new rental.

Ground floor with drive-up access, or first floor up the stairs

At several sites containers stand on two levels. The ground floor gives drive-up access: reverse the van to the door and unload straight in. Some sites take a truck up to 12 m.

The first floor is up the stairs and costs less for the same square metres. Good for boxes, tyres, camping gear. Not for a washing machine, and that is your back talking, not the price.

What does not belong in an unheated container

It is ventilated, but holds the outside temperature: freezing in January, hot in July. Keep out:

  • Liquids that freeze: water-based paint, adhesives. Frozen and thawed, they are a lump.
  • Electronics that mind humidity swings, a television or a computer. They may survive; an indoor unit is the honest answer.
  • Food, plants, anything alive. Forbidden in every unit we rent.
  • Flammables and gas: drain the mower, leave the propane bottle at home.
  • A car: we do not store vehicles.

Furniture and mattresses are fine. For tiles, cement and paint, see storing building materials safely.

What container rental costs as of 4 September 2026

  • 1 month: 76 €
  • 3 months: 70 €
  • 6 months: 65 €
  • 9 months: 56 €
  • 12 months: 49 €

Cheapest per site today at the 12-month rate: Dúbravka and Pionierska from 49 € for 3.6 m², Kaukazská from 86 € and Gessayova from 87 € for 7.2 m². Nitra: 11 free units of 7.2 to 14.4 m², 85 to 159 € on the one-month rate. Per m² the big containers are our cheapest space, 9 to 12 € a month on a yearly term. Ground floor or first floor?

Prices differ by site and by level. See the free containers in your part of the city.

The mistakes we see most often

  1. Booking a container that fits exactly today's pile. During a move boxes appear that nobody counted, and at the limit the door will not close.
  2. Taking one month "and then we will see". For a renovation running half a year, D53 is 65 € on the six-month term instead of 76 €.
  3. Handing the unit back without the photos. The deposit is released after a proper handover, not on the last paid day.
  4. Registering somebody else's phone number. That number opens the gate; up to nine more per site go in your account.
  5. Counting on us for transport. We run no van. A paid partner can be requested when ordering and bills you directly.

When you do not need a container

  • You have a dry cellar or a half-empty garage. Your own space costs nothing; a container makes sense when the cellar is damp, full, or absent.
  • The things are worth less than a year of rent. D53 is 49 € a month on the twelve-month term; if the contents are not worth twelve of those, sell them.
  • You need somewhere for three days. The shortest term is one month, so a friend's garage is cheaper.
  • You store documents or electronics that hate damp. Wrong type of unit, not wrong company: take a kobka at Holíčska or Tomášikova.
  • Your business needs somebody on site to sign for deliveries. We have no staff at the sites; how e-shops and tradespeople handle that is in storage rental for businesses.

How to go about it

  1. Measure what is going in: largest item plus a box count, against the plan and door size on the unit page.
  2. Pick the site by where you will drive from, then the level and the term: 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, or exactly to a date.
  3. Fill in your details. A company is found by name in the Slovak business register and prefilled. No anonymous rentals: real name, address, e-mail, phone in international format.
  4. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer or QR payment. The contract is concluded with that first payment. No cash.
  5. Drive up and call the gate from your registered number. Lock up with your own padlock; a sealed one comes free.
  6. Clear the unit by 17:00 on the last paid day, take the padlock, upload 3 photos (2 inside, 1 outside) and submit the return form.

What TOP SKLAD offers

Containers stand at five sites: TOP SKLAD Dúbravka at Polianky 15 (bus 35 to Polianky, then 140 m on foot), Gessayova 3 and Kaukazská 2 in Petržalka, Pionierska in Nové Mesto, Bratislavská 15 in Nitra. Every areál, the Slovak word for a site, is fenced ground with CCTV, open 24/7, no staff.

The whole rental runs in English: site, order, account. The contract and every invoice appear there the moment you pay, and support answers in English by e-mail within up to 5 working days, or WhatsApp. Companies get invoices with IČO and DIČ.

What we do not do: no transport, no packing, no heating, and we are not the cheapest in Slovakia. You pay for a unit rented in ten minutes, without a viewing or a phone call. Prices are as of 4 September 2026 and move with occupancy.
