- Loose materials (cement, plaster, mortar) — keep dry and protected from moisture and temperature swings. Damp cement sets hard and becomes unusable.
- Water-based paints and adhesives — store upright and protect from frost. Many paints lose their properties if frozen.
- Timber and OSB boards — lay flat on bearers to prevent warping. Shield from moisture and sun.
- Rolled waterproofing membranes — store upright in original packaging.
- Plastic pipes and guttering — protect from sunlight and mechanical load. Do not stack anything on top.
