Your online shop's stock has taken over the living room, tools and materials ride around in the van all week, and the company's accounting folders sit in the director's cellar. Business storage units solve all of it at once, provided the unit suits what goes in, and the invoice and staff access work without a single phone call.

We rent storage units in Bratislava and Nitra to companies and sole traders, and they ask the same things every time. We go through them in this order: an invoice with IČO and DIČ, access for staff, which unit for stock, tools and archives, the price per cubic metre of large units, and actual units with prices as of 18 October 2026.

An invoice to your company with IČO and DIČ

When you rent, you choose to rent as a company. You find it by name in the Slovak business register and the address, IČO (company ID) and DIČ (tax ID) fill in by themselves; you add your IČ DPH (VAT number) if you have one. The contract is concluded with the first payment and every document is in your customer account straight away; nothing goes by post.

• An invoice (faktúra) for every payment sits in your customer account with your company's details. Your accountant downloads it without waiting for an email.
• A VAT payer is invoiced by an operator that is itself VAT registered, with 23% VAT that you reclaim. Prices on the site exclude VAT, and you see the exact amount due before paying.
• A company from another EU country with a valid VAT number is invoiced at 0% with the note "Prenesenie daňovej povinnosti" (reverse charge) and accounts for the tax itself.
• Payment by card (Apple Pay and Google Pay included), bank transfer or QR payment through the Tatra banka gateway. On a monthly rental you can switch on recurring card payment, which renews the unit at the price locked when you ordered.

Access for your staff without handing out office keys

At every location except Holíčska the gate opens with a call from a registered number. In your customer account you can add up to nine more numbers per location: the warehouse person, a driver, a courier or a tradesman. They open the gate themselves and you do not have to go anywhere. When someone leaves, you remove the number in the account.

Holíčska has no gate; the building door opens with the personal code from your account. You give it to the people who go there and generate a new one when needed. The unit itself is locked with your own padlock, so only those you give a key to can open it. Access is 24/7 every day of the year, and the sites have cameras with recording.

Which unit for stock, tools and archives

• Palletised stock and large quantities: a 14.40 m² container (6.00 × 2.40 m) with a 2.25 × 2.30 m double door. Fifteen euro pallets fit on the floor (three across, five deep), and on the ground floor at Pionierska and in Nitra you reverse right up to the door. • A tradesman's tools and materials: a 3.60 or 7.20 m² container on the ground floor with the car at the door. In the morning you drop what you do not need and load what you do, with no stairs. • Archives, electronics and temperature-sensitive stock: an indoor unit at Tomášikova or Holíčska, inside a building with a comfortable temperature in summer and winter and with temperature and humidity sensors. Large units: price per cubic metre and per pallet space

The bigger the unit, the cheaper the metre. On a 12-month rental a 3.60 m² container (9.36 m³) costs €48 a month, which is €5.1 per m³. A 14.40 m² container (37.44 m³) at Pionierska costs €131, which is €3.5 per m³ and, with 15 pallets, €8.7 per pallet space. In Nitra the same container costs €100 with the discount, €2.7 per m³ and €6.7 per pallet. An indoor unit works out at roughly €7.5 to 8 per m³, because you also pay for the temperature.

The second lever is the term. The monthly price falls with a term of 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months: for the 14.40 m² container at Pionierska it is €167 on one month and €131 on a yearly rental. If the company needs the space permanently, the year pays off. If you are unsure, take a shorter term and extend in your account; contracts are fixed-term, and ending early is recalculated at the tariff of the term actually used, less the last 14 days.

Which unit and what it costs as of 18 October 2026

Prices are per month for a 1 / 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 month term, excluding VAT, and change with how full a location is; you always see the exact amount due before paying. At Tomášikova a 20% discount applies until 31 December 2026 to new rentals made on the site, in Nitra 20% on the 14.40 m² containers and 10% on some 7.20 m² ones, always for the term paid at the rental; a renewal is at the regular price.

• Samples, catalogues and a few boxes: T22 at Tomášikova, 1.20 m²: €45 / 42 / 40 / 38 / 36 (regular €56 / 53 / 50 / 47 / 45).

Common mistakes

• Renting as a private person when the company is paying. The invoice is then made out to a name, not to a company with IČO and DIČ.
• Forgetting the VAT number when renting. A VAT payer should enter it straight away so the invoice carries VAT they can reclaim.
• One employee holds the key and everyone else waits. Gate numbers are added in the account; cut a padlock key for everyone who goes there.
• Pallets into a container with a standard 0.80 m door. A loaded euro pallet on a pallet truck will not pass; you need a double door.
• Archives and electronics in a container over winter. Paper gets damp and condensation harms electronics; they belong in an indoor unit.
• A first floor container for heavy stock. Pallets are not carried up stairs; take the ground floor with the car at the door.

When to choose a different unit or term

• You need space only for a seasonal peak, such as before Christmas: take 1 or 3 months rather than a year, or choose "Custom period / Exact to the day" (at least 32 days).
• You store only palletised stock that needs no warmth: a 14.40 m² container is the cheapest per pallet space, and an indoor unit would mean overpaying.
• You need more than 15 pallets: rent two containers side by side at the same location, since gate numbers are set per location.

How to go about it

1. List what goes into storage: pallets, boxes, tools, archives. Split them into things that mind frost and things that do not.
2. On the site choose a location and a unit. Each shows dimensions, door, floor, car access and the price for every term.
3. Choose to rent as a company, find it by name and add your VAT number if you are a VAT payer.
4. Choose the term and the payment method. In about 10 minutes the contract, the invoice and the access details are in your customer account.
5. In the account, add the numbers of the staff who will use the gate, up to nine per location.
6. Lock the unit with your own padlock and give keys to the people who will go there.
