Storage for an E-shop: Cost and What You Get | TOP SKLAD

Storage for an E-shop: Cost and What You Get | TOP SKLAD

Your stock is in the living room, in the hallway and in your mother's cellar, you let the courier in between orders, and before Christmas there is nowhere left to put another pallet. That is when people start looking for storage for an e-shop and find that the phrase covers two completely different services.

We will say plainly which one we are and which we are not, what it costs today, and when renting is not worth it for you.

Pick a location and see what is free today from 7 m².

Two services with the same name

The first is fulfilment: somebody takes the delivery from your supplier, books the goods in, packs each order and hands it to the courier. You never touch the warehouse.

The second is a locked unit that you come to yourself. Your own key, your own hours, you pick and pack the order.

TOP SKLAD is the second one. There is no office and no staff at our sites, so nobody will take a delivery for you and nobody will pack anything. If you want the first service, we are the wrong address, and it is better to know that now than after signing. If you want the second, read on: our unit types and sizes are built for exactly this.

What an online shop actually gets

  • Access 24/7, every day of the year. An order placed at 23:00 can be picked at 23:20. No opening hours, nobody to call.
  • The gate opens on a phone call from your registered number. You can add up to nine more numbers in your account, so a partner, an employee or your own courier can go instead of you.
  • An invoice with IČO and DIČ for every payment, in your account straight away. The contract is with the company that operates that location, exactly as in storage rental for businesses.
  • Your own padlock. Only you hold the key. The unit stands on fenced grounds with camera surveillance.
  • Insurance up to 2 000 € included. For stock that number matters, and we come back to it below.

Which size to take

A container is 2.60 m high inside, so you stack. That is why a small floor area holds more than it looks.

  • up to 5 m²: a shop selling accessories, cosmetics or small goods: shelving along the walls, dozens of boxes, a seasonal buffer.
  • 7.2 m²: today the usual choice for a small online shop. Real dimensions of unit G26 at Gessayova: 18.72 m³, 3.00 × 2.40 m, height 2.60 m, door 0.80 × 2.00 m. It takes several euro-pallets stacked, plus a picking shelf.
  • 14.4 m²: the stock of a small shop, dozens of pallets, shop fittings. If paperwork joins the goods, see company archive and document storage.

Ground-floor containers are drive-up: you park at the door, and some sites take a truck up to 12 m. The upper level is reached by stairs and costs less, which suits light boxes and does not suit pallets. What a container looks like inside is covered in our article on storage container rental in Bratislava.

What it costs today

Prices move daily with how full a location is, so treat these as a snapshot of 8 September 2026 and check the live figure in the storage price list.

  • 7.2 m²: Nitra from 64 €/month, Gessayova and Kaukazská from 86 €/month, Dúbravka from 88 €/month.
  • 14.4 m²: Nitra from 125 €/month, Pionierska from 135 €/month, Kaukazská from 136 €/month.
  • There are 62 free units across the network today, 17 of them 7 m² and larger.

Those figures are the twelve-month rate. A shorter term costs more per month, and the honest way to say it is with the number: the same unit G26 is 107 € for a single month against 86 € a month over twelve. The steps in between are 102, 97 and 91 € for three, six and nine months.

On top of the rent there is a deposit of one month. It comes back within 5 working days once the unit is handed back properly, and you do not pay it again when you renew. Access, the gate and the lock cost nothing extra.

Insurance and the value of your stock

Cover up to 2 000 € is included (theft, robbery, fire, natural disaster, vandalism). For goods that is a low bar: three pallets of fast-moving stock will pass it. Higher cover is bought by the month, up to 5 000 € for 4.50 €, up to 7 000 € for 7.50 €, up to 10 000 € for 12 €.

Containers are not heated and not air-conditioned. Electronics that dislike frost, water-based cosmetics or chocolate do not belong in one over winter. Indoor units hold a comfortable temperature all year, but they exist only at Holíčska and Tomášikova and the free ones today are 6.6 m² and smaller.

The usual mistakes

  1. Taking a unit for a month "to try" and keeping it a year. Twelve separate months of G26 cost 252 € more than the twelve-month term.
  2. Measuring the floor instead of the volume. At 2.60 m the question is whether you stack. A shelf for 60 € often replaces a unit half again as large.
  3. Forgetting the approach. Pallets on the upper level mean carrying them up stairs. The few euros saved go on the first delivery.
  4. Leaving the cover at 2 000 € and moving in eight thousand euros' worth of goods.
  5. Counting only the rent. There is also the one-month deposit and the travel time: if you pick orders daily, the distance to the site matters more than ten euros on the price.

When you do not need it

  • When you need somebody to receive deliveries and pack them. That is fulfilment. We do not offer it and there is no staff at our sites.
  • When your whole stock fits in a cupboard and turns over weekly. The trips will cost you more than the space you free up at home.
  • When the goods need a stable temperature and you need more than 7 m². Indoor units free today go up to 6.6 m², and an unheated container is wrong for sensitive goods in winter.
  • When you want an address where somebody signs for a parcel. There is no office on site and nobody to accept it.
  • When you want to store a vehicle. We do not store cars, motorbikes or scooters.

How to go about it

  1. Estimate the volume: how many pallets or boxes you hold today, and how many at the seasonal peak.
  2. Choose the location by how often you will drive there to pick orders, not by the price.
  3. Find a free unit of that size in the price list, and check the door dimensions if you move pallets.
  4. Choose the term. Steady stock is cheaper on a long term; a seasonal peak suits three months.
  5. Fill in the company details: a company is found by name in the business register and pre-filled.
  6. Pay by card, bank transfer or QR payment. The contract is concluded with the first payment.
  7. Your access details appear in the account immediately, and that is where you add your colleagues' numbers.
  8. Before the peak, check in good time whether a larger unit is free at that site: moving up is a new rental.

What TOP SKLAD offers

We run six sites in Bratislava and one in Nitra, 527 units in total. Outdoor containers from 3.5 m² are at Dúbravka (Polianky 15), Gessayova 3, Kaukazská 2, Pionierska and in Nitra (Bratislavská 15). Indoor units from 0.99 m² are at Holíčska 7 and Tomášikova 50D.

The whole rental is done online in about ten minutes, with no visit to an office. We are not the cheapest storage in Slovakia and we promise neither transport nor packing: what we sell is 24/7 access and not having to meet anybody. The contract, the deposit and the payment details are in the questions and answers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does storage for an e-shop cost in Bratislava?

As of 8 September 2026 a 7.2 m² unit is from 86 €/month on the twelve-month term at Gessayova and Kaukazská, and 88 € at Dúbravka. The same unit for a single month is 107 €. In Nitra 7.2 m² starts at 64 €/month.

Can I collect stock at night or at the weekend?

Yes, access is 24/7 every day of the year. The gate opens on a call from your registered number, and you can add up to nine more numbers for colleagues in your account.

Will you accept a delivery from my supplier?

No. There is no staff and no office at the sites, so there is nobody to take it. You bring the goods in yourself or through your own carrier.

Do I get an invoice for my company?

Yes. Every payment has an invoice with IČO and DIČ in your account, and the company itself is found by name in the business register.

What if my stock grows for the season?

You move to a larger unit or another location, which is a new rental and not a penalty. If you need the space only for the peak, take the three-month term and go back to a smaller unit afterwards; how the shorter terms work out is set out in short-term storage rental.
