You have moved to Bratislava, the flat came without a cellar, and two bikes live in the hallway. You type how much does storage cost into Google and get a figure that means nothing on its own: the rate follows the site, the unit type, the floor, the size, today's occupancy and the term, and it changes daily.

Below are real figures from our price list, read on 4 September 2026, plus what you pay on top and when not to rent.

What the price is made of

Six inputs set the rate: location, unit type (indoor room or container), floor, size, occupancy and term. That is why a unit can be dearer than last week.

The term is yours: 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, or "exactly to a date". Longer means cheaper per month. Today's figure for every free unit is in the storage price list for Bratislava.

Real rates on 4 September 2026

Our floor is from 25 € a month: a floor, not an offer on a unit. Three real units, monthly rate for 1 / 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months:

• H50B, indoor room of 0.99 m² at Holíčska 7 in Petržalka: 38 / 36 / 34 / 31 / 29 €.
• T14, indoor room of 2.56 m² at Tomášikova 50D in Nové Mesto: 100 / 95 / 89 / 84 / 78 €.
• D53, container of 3.6 m² at Polianky 15 in Dúbravka: 76 / 70 / 65 / 56 / 49 €.

D53 is 76 € for one month and 49 € on a yearly booking: 324 € less across the year. If your dates are a guess, price a short term storage rental for one month first.

The cheapest free unit at each site today

The 12-month rates, the lowest we can quote today, from 64 free units out of 527:

• Holíčska 7 in Petržalka: from 29 € for an indoor room of 0.99 m².
• Pionierska in Nové Mesto and Polianky 15 in Dúbravka: from 49 € for a 3.6 m² container.
• Tomášikova 50D in Nové Mesto: from 78 € for an indoor room of 2.56 m².
• Kaukazská 2 from 86 € and Gessayova 3 from 87 €, both in Petržalka, 7.2 m² containers.
• Nitra, Bratislavská 15: 11 free units of 7.2 to 14.4 m² at 85 to 159 € on the one month rate.

Cost per square metre: the small box is the expensive one

Per square metre the ranking flips: a large container runs roughly 9 to 12 € per m² a month on a yearly booking, a tiny indoor room 19 to 21 €. The small room has the lowest bill and the worst value per metre, and we say so rather than sell metres you cannot fill.

If your things fit under a square metre, pay the 29 €: the case for a small storage unit from 1 m² is the total, not the price per metre. Past five metres, storage container rental in Bratislava wins, if unheated space suits your things.

What you pay on top of the rent

A deposit of one month's rent goes with the first payment, once per rental, never at renewal. Book H50B for a month and 76 € leaves your account: 38 € rent, 38 € deposit. It comes back automatically within 5 working days of a proper handover, up to 10 depending on your bank.

Insurance up to 2 000 € against theft, fire, natural disaster and vandalism is included; higher cover is optional at 4.50 € a month for 5 000 €, 7.50 € for 7 000 €, 12 € for 10 000 €. The gate, access and padlock cost nothing extra. No cash: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, transfer or QR.

Two worked examples

An e-shop with five pallets, shelving and packaging needs 7 to 12 m². A 7.2 m² container at Gessayova 3 is from 87 € a month on a yearly booking: 1 044 € for the year plus a refundable 87 € deposit, with IČO and DIČ on every invoice. More in storage rental for businesses and sole traders.

Five mistakes that cost money

1. Comparing monthly rates instead of totals. T14 at 78 € for a year is 936 €, three months at 95 € is 285 €.
2. Forgetting the deposit. The first payment is double the rent: an 87 € container takes 174 € on day one.
3. Booking twelve months on a guessed date: book six, leave after three and a half, and you are recharged at the three month tariff, minus the last 14 days.
4. Renting bigger just in case. A 3.6 m² container in Dúbravka is 49 €, a 7.2 m² one at Gessayova 87 €: 456 € a year for the reflex.
5. Walking away at the end. Do not renew, do not empty it, and we clear the unit within 3 days with no penalty but keep the deposit.

When you do not need a storage unit

Four cases where we would rather you kept your money.

• The contents are worth less than a year of rent. The cheapest room is 348 € a year: if you would not rebuy that pile for 348 €, sell it.
• Your block still has a free pivnica. A cellar in a panelák holds tyres and a bike; 38 € a month for that is money burnt.
• You have not sorted yet. Sort, then measure: many people end up in a 29 € room instead of a 76 € container.
• You need goods received and dispatched. There is no staff on our sites and we neither carry nor pack: that is a logistics warehouse, not self storage.

How to rent one, step by step

1. Estimate the volume: up to 3 m² is a balcony and boxes, 5 to 7 m² a large garage, 7 to 12 m² a two room flat, over 12 m² dozens of pallets.
2. Choose the site by the journey: tram 3 to Pajštúnska plus 230 m for Holíčska, bus 35 to Polianky plus 140 m for Dúbravka. Ground floor containers take a car to the door.
3. Compare all five terms and add the deposit: judge the total, not the monthly figure.
4. Enter real details: name, address, e-mail and a phone in international format starting +421, the number that opens the gate. Companies are pre-filled from the business register.
5. Pay online. The contract begins with the first payment, documents and access data land in your account at once: about 10 minutes, no office visit. The contract and our support work in English.
6. Add up to nine extra numbers per location: a partner, a colleague, movers.
